Get your Databricks team using Genie Code — for real

Genie Code changes how data engineers and analysts work inside Databricks — once the team actually picks it up. We run hands-on trainings that cover AI fundamentals, walk through real Genie Code workflows, and get your people applying it to their own tasks the same week.

Talk to us

Adoption of AI tools rarely fails because the tool is hard. It fails because no one shows the team the first real use case end-to-end.

Organizations investing in structured AI enablement see 40–50% higher adoption rates. — DX Research

Leave with notebooks, custom prompts, and a mental model. Use it the next day.

Pick the shape that fits your team

Four formats, sorted by how many people you're training and how much adoption support you want after the day is done.

Quick Intro

A short live session with demos, walk-throughs, and Q&A on common Genie Code use cases and patterns. No guided exercises — just the what and the how, in a single sitting, with a take-home workbook. For teams deciding whether Genie Code fits their workflow before committing to a full workshop.

2–3 hours · Online · Up to 50 participants

$1,500 per class

Outcome: the team leaves with a shared picture of how Genie Code works and where to apply it on common Databricks tasks.

Open Cohort

Join an open-enrollment workshop alongside other Databricks practitioners. Full-day hands-on training on real tasks — prompting, debugging, dashboards, documentation. Individuals or a few teammates are both welcome; dates are set by us.

1 day · Live online · T1A sandbox workspace

$300 per seat

Outcome: you walk away ready to use Genie Code on real work the next morning.

Sending 5+ teammates? A closed Hands-On Workshop is usually better value.

Hands-On Workshop

A closed workshop for one company. Same full-day hands-on curriculum as the Open Cohort, run for your team on dates agreed together. Participants work through exercises in notebooks, build prompts, and leave ready to use Genie Code the next morning.

1 day · Live online · 5–15 participants

Exercises run on your workspace — requires workspace admin access for setup.

$2,500 per class16–19 participants — we split the day; 20+ — two classes

Outcome: the team starts using Genie Code on real work the next morning.

Adoption Pack

Everything in the Hands-On Workshop, plus up to 16 hours of tailored consulting after the training. We review your team's actual use cases, adoption blockers, and task flows — and help you wrap them into Genie Code. For teams that want real adoption, not just a training day.

1 day workshop + up to 16h consulting · Online or on-site · 5–15 participants

from $5,000 per pack

Outcome: your team doesn't just learn Genie Code — we stay with them through the first real applications.

Add follow-up support — available with any closed format. A consultant stays on call for 3–5 days after the training to answer questions, review use cases, and help the team through first real tasks with Genie Code.
On-site delivery — available for Hands-On Workshop and Adoption Pack. Travel & expenses billed at cost.
A flat travel day fee of $750 applies when trainer travel is required.

What the training covers

0
AI and Coding Agents — what they actually do
1
Genie Code General Usage — agent vs. chat, workspace exploration, mentions
2
Genie Code as Workspace SME — navigate Databricks, locate tables, find notebooks
3
Genie Code for Data Work — analysis, code scaffolding, debugging, documentation
4
Customizing Genie Code — user/workspace prompts, custom skills, MCP
5
Dashboard Authoring Agent — build and iterate through the agent
6
Best Practices — where the agent helps, where it gets in the way

Optional add-ons for closed formats: Governance & data safety · Team workflows · Anti-patterns · Adoption & measurement.

Don't see what you need? Tell us the topic — if it fits the format, we'll build it in.

The workbook

Every participant works through Databricks notebooks prepared for the course. Each exercise is one notebook with three blocks:

  • The task — what to do and why it matters.
  • The theory — the minimum you need to complete the task.
  • Your code — the cells you write yourself.

Notebooks stay in the participant's Databricks workspace after the session — they come back to them weeks later when they need a pattern.

What participants walk away with

After the training, teams are ready to use Genie Code the same week.

  • A working mental model of how LLMs and coding agents behave, so Genie Code becomes a deliberate part of their workflow.
  • Fluency on everyday Databricks tasks: workspace navigation, code scaffolding, debugging, documentation, data analysis, dashboards.
  • The ability to customize Genie Code — user and workspace prompts, custom skills, MCP integrations.
  • Databricks notebooks from the session that stay in their workspace as a reference.

Who delivers

Databricks Brickbuilder Solutions Partner badge
A Databricks Brickbuilder Solutions partner Delivered by certified Databricks Champions — full-stack work on the platform from lakehouse and data engineering to AI and data science. We know the workspace, the catalog, and the rough edges.

Platform expertise

From lakehouse architecture to Unity Catalog, ML and GenAI — we build and run production systems on Databricks for clients every day.

Coding agents we ship with

Genie Code and other agents are part of how our team ships day to day. We train what we use.

Adoption we've run before

The techniques in this training are the same ones we use internally to get teams adopting new tools — including AI agents — fast and for real.

Common questions

What prerequisites do participants need?
Day-to-day Databricks use — notebooks, basic Spark or SQL. No prior experience with coding agents or prompt engineering is required. Module 0 covers how LLMs and agents actually behave, so everyone starts from the same mental model.
Do we run it on our Databricks workspace or yours?
Either works. On your workspace we bring a setup guide for your admin and participants keep every notebook they build. On the T1A sandbox workspace everyone gets a pre-configured environment with no setup on your side. Both options are offered for every format.
How soon does the team actually use Genie Code after training?
The Hands-On Workshop is built for same-week adoption. Participants leave with notebooks they wrote during the session — they come back to real work with a pattern they've already used. Add follow-up support for 3–5 days if the team wants a safety net during first real tasks.
Is the content kept current as Genie Code evolves?
Yes. Genie Code ships changes often. We update the curriculum and exercises as new capabilities land, and for closed workshops we can drop in specific recent releases that matter for your use cases.
Can you deliver training to distributed or remote-only teams?
Yes. The Hands-On Workshop runs live online for 5–15 participants in a single timezone-friendly cohort. For larger or globally distributed teams we split into two classes or design a format around your team.
